Communications

The communications unit of the Ontario Volunteer Emergency Response Team (OVERT) Inc. is responsible for the co-ordination and deployment of search teams. Using sophisticated 911 software the Comm’s Unit is able to track the progress of field units during searches, while ensuring that search teams are properly rotated through rest periods.

Members of the OVERT Comm’s Unit are field certified, in addition specialized ongoing communications training.
